The WattUp receiver technology is tiny, so it can be scaled to fit a variety of sized electronics, including a device as small as an in-the-ear hearing aid. The technology contributes to a complete wireless power ecosystem that ensures interoperability across receivers and transmitters.
WattUp transmitters can provide wireless power to more in-home devices than you would ever think possible. No more disposable batteries in gaming controllers, remote controls, smoke detectors, toys or other gadgets means a smaller environmental footprint. Smart home products can also be charged over-the-air automatically, so no more ugly cords or constant battery replacement needed!
The WattUp Near Field transmitter technology is capable of being embedded into a variety of different form factors, with varying technical options. This can include a small, low cost in-the-box WattUp transmitter (to replace the USB cable and power adaptor, for example), or a fast-charging WattUp Near Field transmitter for tablets and smartphones, as well as other small electronic devices, providing up to 15 watts of charge.
The technology supports single or multi-device charging on a single pad, depending on the specific application, and it can be embedded into a variety of products, including laptops, game consoles, smart speakers, furniture and much more. The WattUp receiver technology supports at-contact and over-the-air wireless charging at distances of up to 15 feet away.
Energous offers licenses to proprietary technologies covering innovative products within the WattUp® wireless charging 2.0 ecosystem. Manufacturers can embed WattUp into a wide range of receiving electronics that are compatible with any WattUp®-enabled transmitter, due to the common receiver technology.
A partnership and license with Energous may allow access to proprietary chip technology and design libraries, scalable transmitter and receiver reference designs for Near Field, Mid Field, and Far Field applications (including associated antenna designs), and software stacks from device firmware (e.g., for managing/ controlling/ optimizing transmitter and receiver functions) to cloud-based enterprise management tools.
