Similar to capacitive touch sensing, Microchip‘s GestIC technology uses E-field sensing to detect gestures. Electrodes remain invisible behind the device housing, which allows you to create an aesthetically pleasing user interface design without the need for holes or other cutouts that are typically required for cameras or infrared-based systems.
