Avnet Silica began stocking the IX SN530 solid state drives (SSDs) from Western Digital. Utilizing a 96-layer 3D construction, these compact Non-Volatile Memory Express (NVMe) modules are highly suited to industrial implementation.
They provide the storage resources needed for data-intensive factory automation and equipment monitoring functions, as well as being of value in robotics, industrial PC, digital signage and automotive applications. At the same time, they have the robustness required to cope with harsh operational settings, thereby ensuring a prolonged working lifespan.
The IX SN530 SSD modules are available in both M.2 2230 and M.2 2280 formats, with storage capacities reaching up to 1TBytes and 2TBytes respectively. Sequential read speeds of 2.4GBytes/s and 1.9GBytes/s write speeds can be supported. Their built-in SSD controllers and accompanying firmware facilitate system integration.
Thanks to the availability of elevated-capacity triple level cell (TLC) and endurance-enhanced single level cell (SLC) options, IX SN530 SSDs can be specified that will exactly match customers’ specific workload requirements. An operating temperature range spanning from -40˚C to +85˚C is covered, with strong vibrational resilience being exhibited; withstanding 20G at frequencies of as much as 2000Hz.
