NIC Components announced the release of the NMCAP product series of automotive-grade (AEC-Q200 qualified) multilayer ceramic chip capacitors (MLCCs) featuring soft polymer terminal (crack resistant) construction.

The NMC-AP series provides a safer upgrade to standard solid terminal construction MLCCs. Intend for use in applications requiring high reliability and resistance from cracking due to PCB flexure.

NMC-AP series is available in 0603, 0805, 1206, and 1210 case sizes, with voltage ratings from 6.3V to 250VDC, and meets AEC-Q200 PC Board Flex Deflection of 5mm per AECQ200-21 test. The capacitance value range of the NMC-AP series covers 1000pF to 4.7uF in ±5% (J), ±10% (K), and ±20% (M) tolerances in X7R temperature coefficient, allowing ±15% capacitance value change over an operating temperature range of -55°C to +125°C.

They are RoHS & REACH compliant and compatible with Pb-free reflow soldering processes. Evaluation samples are available upon request.

Features:

* Crack-resistant construction
* Meets AEC-Q200
* Wide Temperature Range: -55°C to +125°C
* Low ESR and ESL MLCC
